HELLO, I’M SAUNAK
I am an internationally traveled photographer working across editorial, celebrity, commercial, product, and conceptual imagery. I’ve worked with global brands including Delta, Land Rover, Microsoft, OPPO, Skillshare, and W Hotels, with my work featured across leading publications. As a Google and Adobe ambassador, I bring a strong understanding of contemporary visual culture, supported by over 15 years of experience in advertising and design—spanning creative direction, visual design, and digital activations. This background allows me to approach photography not only as image-making, but as problem-solving through storytelling.
My work is defined by a distinctive aesthetic rooted in narrative, where color, light, and mood are used with intention to create images that feel elevated yet human. I am also the founder of Pursuit of Portraits (PoP), an NYC-based global photography collective that has brought people together across 21+ countries—an experience that continues to shape how I build rapport, break the ice, and create trust on set. Whether shooting editorial or commercial campaigns, I strive to find the balance between creative instinct and clarity of execution, delivering thoughtful visuals that serve both the story and the people behind it.

PORTRAITURE
Editorial, product, look book, lifestyle, destination & elopement, content, strategy & creative direction
Much of my work reflects my own experiences, sense of self and identity, outlook towards how I see the world and people around me. My work includes a mix of design, societal structural undertones and bi-cultural influences.
ROLE REVERSAL
NEW DELHI, INDIA – A modern day spin on the age old patriarchy in Indian classical portraits of royalty where men are portrayed as powerful and women as wives, consorts or concubines.
MOOD FOR LOVE
HANOI, VIETNAM – Inspired by Wong Kar-Wei's classic film “In the mood for love”; this collaboration visually and poetically captures the essence of Vietnamese styling via storytelling.
TRAVEL
Destination getaways, popular and off the beaten path adventures, top memories, a 2021 wish list and mood boards from 35 countries.
“Travel provides perspective; it opens new horizons to see things differently. As an artist I’ve always been interested in capturing the world the way I see it. The big picture but also what lies right in front of us”
Events & EXPERIENCES
AfroPunk, Pride, New York Fashion Week, events and more.
“Capturing candids on the street, the vibe at cultural events or backstage at a fashion show are some hotspots I find myself as a photographer. Much that I love mainstream portraiture, I love the humanity behind moments that are effortless and unadulterated”.
COMMUNITY

My first solo show; “The Space Between Us” debuted at Parasol Projects from July 4th – 7th, 2019 in Nolita, New York in partnership with Printique which captured the essence of The Global Pursuit.
